History

Pocono Farms is a year-round, private, recreation-oriented Community which is owned and operated by its members for the mutual benefit of the residents. Pocono Farms Country Club Association is a planned community pursuant to the PA Uniformed Planned Communities Act (UPCA) of 1997 and is not affiliated with any other development, real estate developer, or builder.

Our community began in 1966 as the Pocono Farms Lot Owners Association and was incorporated in 1967 with membership being mandated by a deed covenant. In 1974 the name was changed to Community Association of Pocono Farms, Inc. and an additional corporation named Pocono Farms Country Club, Inc. was formed to operate our golf and restaurant amenities. Both incorporated entities were merged via membership vote in July of 2006 and on January 1st 2007 Pocono Farms Country Club Association, Inc. (PFCCA, for short) was officially created.

The Association’s purpose, as stated in the by-laws, is ‘to ensure the present and future residential living conditions relating to the health, safety, public morals, recreation, comfort and beauty of lots in a development in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, known as Pocono Farms.’

Pocono Farms consists of our amenity areas surrounded by a total of 2,113 plotted lots. Of those total lots, 1,430 have homes built on them which are served by nineteen entrances on twenty miles of township roads and an additional eight miles of roads in community-owned cul-de-sacs.

At Pocono Farms, everyone is welcome. Our community is a diverse mix of people of all ages. From young families with children to retirees and many stages in between, you are sure to fit right in!
Our deed covenants require that all persons owning properties in Pocono Farms automatically become a member and must pay an annual assessment. Any paid member in “good standing” may run for a position on our Board of Directors or serve on any of our many dedicated committees.

Members in good standing are welcome to enjoy all of the amenities offered with membership of Pocono Farms Country Club. We have an Olympic-size swimming pool (with on-duty certified life-guards), a lake for fishing and swimming, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, and one of the most immaculately manicured golf courses in Monroe County and a state of the art fitness center. Our Lakeside Grill & Pub offers residents and their guests the ability to enjoy a quality dining experience close to home. Our seasonal outdoor dining is perfect for a Pocono summer afternoon overlooking our lake. We are also a full service banquet facility with both on and off site options available.

This website will provide all of the required information on the many seasonal activities provided by our community. Throughout the year we employ qualified personnel to supervise all of our recreation and learning activities for our children.

To keep Pocono Farms a respected and enjoyable Community a number of restrictions are in place and must be observed by all residents. These restrictions are detailed in the bylaws and administrative code of the community. Such restrictions allow our Community to maintain property values and ensure that all residential surroundings stay naturally beautiful. Pocono Farms is governed by an all-volunteer, unpaid, Board of Directors consisting of nine members in good standing. The rules and regulations of the community, policy decisions of the Board, and general operations are enforced and carried out by an employed management team.
